About me

I am a documentary filmmaker and photographer from Alabama. I have a masters degree in films studies from Georgia State University.  In the past I have interviewed Karen Black, Jeff Nichols(director of Mud 2013), the Duplass brothers, Stern Stern (screenwriter of Rebel Without a Cause), and many many others. In Seattle I captured the stories of over twenty World War II veterans for KCTS.  It is an honor to have someone share their story with me. I never take this for granted. Oral histories bring the past alive and give us a perspective often not found in text books.

Currently I am working on a film about Stanley Watkins, an English sound engineer who in the 20th century advanced the fields of music recording, cinema and the world of talking machines.

Stayed tuned for “Audible Kinematology and Other Sound Pursuits.”

Smiles,

Blair
